On August 25, 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall between Port Aransas and Port O'Conner, Texas as a category 4 storm with sustained winds of up to 130 mph. The storm battered much of the southeast coast of Texas for more than five days, as it produced up to sixty inches of rain in some locations. Because of the excessive rainfall amounts, devastating and fatal flooding occurred. The death toll for this storm is up to 45, and there are still areas that have not yet been searched, due to flooding.

Iglesia Bautista Betania
Grand Strand Baptist Church is partnering with our friends at Bethany Baptist Church in Mission, Texas to help aid in the relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Your generosity in giving through our church will be used to directly help those in need in Texas. Our church has had a relationship with Bethany Baptist Church and their pastor, Noe Mendoza, for many years, through Frontier Baptist Missions.
Located on the southeast border of Texas, Bethany Baptist Church has a local connection to the hardest hit areas of Texas. Because of this, we believe that this unique partnership between our church and theirs ensures that all proceeds to this special cause will be used responsibly and effectively to those most in need.
